Does this cottage have a hot tub?
Yes. Valley View Yurt has a modern wood-fired hot tub on an elevated platform with views over the valley. It is available for an additional charge the first night includes sufficient wood and a full pre-clean with fresh water. Note that it takes approximately 90 minutes or more to reach temperature and does not have jets.
Is it pet friendly?
No dogs are permitted at Valley View Yurt. If you are travelling with a pet please contact the team before booking as this policy cannot be varied.
How does the off-grid electricity work?
The yurt has only a double mains socket one powers the fridge and the second can either run the ceiling light or charge a phone. All other lighting is provided by solar-powered lamps so pack accordingly.
Where is the kitchen and bathroom?
Both the kitchen and shower room are located a couple of metres from the yurt and are fully undercover with countryside views. The kitchen has a four-ring gas hob, fridge/freezer, butler sink and all cookware and crockery you need.
Is there hot water throughout the property?
The gas-powered shower is the only source of hot water on site. The wash basin in the bathroom and the butler sink in the kitchen both supply cold water only worth knowing before you arrive.
How many people can the yurt sleep?
The yurt sleeps up to four people. The main sleeping area has a brass-ended king-size bed and there is a trundle bed that splits into two full-size singles. The trundle bed is available at an additional charge per person per night enquire before booking.
Are children welcome?
Children over the age of two are welcome at Valley View Yurt. The yurt sleeps up to four so it works well for a couple with young children. Please note the wood-fired hot tub and open firepit require careful supervision around young children.
Where do I park and how do I get to the yurt?
Parking is off-road at the start of the path leading to the yurt. A four-wheeled garden trolley is available on site to help you transport your luggage down to the yurt from the car.
